Items dealing with the corporation operations and by-laws...
Last update: 13 February 2022
The Corporation is a separate legal entity from the Council. All members of the Council are members of the Corporation. The Corporation's purpose is to acquire, own, and maintain real estate thereby providing a meeting place for the members.
In October, 2020, while negotiantions were being done within the corporation, the web site moderator (Paul St.Amand) noted several areas where lack of specificity within the existing corporation by-laws could lead to contention in the future. For example, "How many members of the board of directors are needed to approve a spending of up to $10,000?"
The moderator suggested revisions to the by-laws, noted below. These have NOT been adopted and thus have no standing. These amendments are posted here for future reference and perhaps incorporation.
Proposed Amendments to define minimum members needed
